In the context of SMART Dropshipping, it is important to use different suppliers at the same time. Using suppliers is similar to launching one winner on several stores; it can work well for one dropshipper and not so well for another, for no apparent reason.
Supplier performance depends on many factors, just like dropshippers, and can therefore vary. That is why it is very important to keep a close eye on the suppliers' statistics. The statistics of the suppliers can be found on the platform (when accepting a quote), but also in the very detailed 'Performance Supplier Dashboard' (in the SMART Dropshipping dashboard). One month a supplier may show particularly good statistics and the next month poorer statistics. If we look at the data, this is completely normal and every supplier sometimes has a bad period (this can have various causes). That is why it is so important that you have insight into this data and can switch to another supplier just before that bad period.
We only admit the best suppliers, being 'average' is not enough. Of course there is a difference in level, but in general you can work with any supplier on the platform without any worries.
Just like with dropshippers, each supplier gets its own level. However, there are many more criteria among suppliers that play a role in determining the level. Of course, we are an exclusive platform on the front end (for dropshippers), then we must also be an exclusive platform on the back end (for suppliers).
We would like to provide you with complete transparency in how we assign supplier levels. Therefore, here is a video in which Leon's Supplier Performance Dashboard (the dashboard that every supplier receives on the SP platform) is fully explained. As a dropshipper, you will only really have access to the 'Supplier Statistics' tab of each supplier on our platform. The other tabs are not relevant to you. I also show how our supply chain manager can monitor, assess and manage all suppliers in an overview in his own Admin Supplier Performance Dashboard.
